Terms of Service

Accounts are provisioned by AvCap to grant-consulting firms (“agencies”) and to individuals invited by those agencies. You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at security@avcap.co.tz of any suspected unauthorised access.

All content created within an agency workspace — opportunities, documents, tasks, chat messages, data requests — is the property of the agency that owns the workspace. Individual users have no personal claim over agency workspace content. When a user is removed from an agency, their access ends but their prior contributions remain.

You agree not to:

• Upload malicious code, viruses, or files intended to harm the Service
• Use the Service to store unlawful content or personal data of third parties without a lawful basis
• Attempt to access data belonging to other agencies or probe the Service's security
• Re-sell or sub-license the Service without written agreement
• Use the AI features to generate content intended to defraud funders

The Service uses Anthropic's Claude models to generate text based on your prompts and workspace data. AI output is a draft — you are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and editing before using it in any grant application or external communication. AvCap makes no warranty that AI output is accurate, complete, or fit for purpose.

The Service helps you track grant opportunities and communicate with funders. AvCap is not responsible for funder decisions, application outcomes, deadlines missed due to system issues, or the accuracy of funder information entered by users.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service during the current MVP phase. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practical. There is no monetary service-level commitment during this phase.

Pricing is quoted per agency, per month, and billed in advance. Free trial accounts can be terminated by either party with no notice. Paid accounts can be cancelled at any time; no refunds for partial months. AvCap may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AvCap's total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. AvCap is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including lost profits, lost grants, or lost funding opportunities.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dar es Salaam, except where applicable consumer protection law grants you rights in your own jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the agency owner at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
